Healthy cholesterol levels

Cholesterol is a fat that primarily exists in our blood and is needed to build cells and produce hormones. Excessively high levels of harmful LDL cholesterol can contribute to atherosclerosis, which is a hardening and narrowing of the arteries due to a build-up of blood fats in the walls of the arteries. Over time there is a risk of the arteries becoming blocked.

Many people suffer from high cholesterol without being aware of it. High cholesterol is mainly due to lifestyle and dietary choices, although it can also be hereditary. High cholesterol levels in the blood represent a risk factor in the development of heart disease.

PromOat beta-glucan helps you lower the cholesterol levels in your blood in a natural manner.

About Beta-glucan

Beta-glucan from oats has been shown to lower/reduce cholesterol levels in the blood. Beta-glucan is a water-soluble fibre that occurs naturally in oats.

When beta-glucan passes through the intestine, it binds bile acid and removes it when exiting the body. When the body then replaces the lost bile acid, it uses existing LDL cholesterol, thus lowering the cholesterol levels in the blood.

Other health benefits associated with beta-glucan from oats include healthy blood glucose levels after meals and a feeling of fullness after eating.
