PrOatein Vegan Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 courgette
  • 100 g vegan cheese slices
  • 1 dl oats
  • 60 g PrOatein
  • 1 grated garlic clove
  • Lime zest from one lime
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 dl water
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 °C or 180 °C for a convection oven. Place coarsely grated courgette in a strainer with a sprinkling of salt for about 15 min. Coarsely grate the cheese. Combine the oats, PrOatein, garlic, lime zest and paprika powder. Add the grated cheese and strained courgette. Stir the corn starch in the water with the tomato paste. Blend with the other ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Form the mixture into 3 patties. Brown them in oil in a frying pan. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Enjoy these with pickled onions, your favourite dressing and good bread.

Alternative: Chop up some fresh sage and add it to the mix. Enjoy with tomato sauce. Use chilli flakes instead of lime zest. Enjoy with mango chutney.
